Presto Pressure Cooker
Presto has been around for a long time! The
company was founded in 1905 and at that time they
manufactured industrial-size pressure canners for
commercial canneries. By 1915 the company installed an
aluminum foundry for the specific purpose of manufacturing
large-size pressure canners for home use. Since 1915 – 94
years later – Presto Pressure Cookers have evolved into a
very safe, economical appliance that every kitchen should
have.
The Presto Pressure Cooker Comes In Many
Versatile Sizes
Presto offers a variety of sizes from 4 quart all
the way up to a 23 quart pressure cooker canner. The prices
are modest but the quality is very adequate. You can choose
between an aluminum pressure cooker or a stainless steel
pressure cooker. The most popular sizes are the 6 qt. and 8
qt. pressure cookers.
Presto adds versatility to their 8 quart stainless
steel pressure cooker. It can also stand in as a
conventional soup pot as well as perform the kitchen magic
that pressure cookers are so famous for.
Presto's pressure cookers are very trustworthy and
a pleasure to use. They come with a complete
instruction/recipe book that will instruct you on how you
can get many years of quality use out of your pressure
cooker.
I would not think of purchasing any size
pressure cooker less than 6 quarts. A 6 quart pressure
cooker will be adequate for a small to medium size family.
Since you cannot fill the pressure cooker any more than
two-thirds full (some foods require one-half
full) you don't want to be stuck with a
pressure cooker that is too small. And when you start
cooking with a pressure cooker you will find yourself using
it a lot when guests are coming over for dinner. I have
the 8 quart Presto stainless steel pressure cooker and am
very satisfied with it.
The modest priced
Presto Pressure Cooker gets rave reviews from customers. The prices
range from about $25.00 for the 4 quart aluminum Presto
Pressure Cooker to about $75.00 for the 8 quart stainless
steel Pressure Cooker.

Presto has a very informative
website that has all their manuals in Adobe PDF format.
